Big4 Auditor Changes week ending 20 Dec 2015

BDO resigned this week as auditor of Osiris Therapeutics. The filing cites disagreements between client and auditor, “about the timing of revenue recognition under certain distributor contracts and about the Company’s related internal controls over financial reporting.” Distributor revenue recognition, bane to auditors and accountants everywhere.

KPMG lost three clients during the week, with all three choosing a non-Big4 firm as new auditor.
