Big4 Auditor Changes week ending 12/16/12

Each of the Big4 audit firms were involved in changes this week.  PwC resigned as auditor of Helicos BioSciences, then won Biota Pharmaceuticals from E&Y.  KPMG lost First PacTrust Bancorp to smaller firm Crowe Horwath.

And in the odd move of the week, Radiation Therapy Services filed two 8-K’s, the first saying they’d dismissed E&Y and also announcing the hiring of new auditors, but not naming them. The second 8-K, filed the next day, announced Deloitte as the new auditors.  Most companies manage to cover it all in just one filing.
